CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands on method of whole body evaluation and treatment that may have positive impact on nearly every system of the body. Whether used alone or with other traditional methods of healthcare, it is proven clinically effective in facilitating the body’s ability to self heal. It often produces extraordinary results.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a form of manual healthcare which recognises the important link between the structure of the body and the way it functions. Osteopaths focus on how the skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, circulation, connective tissue and internal organs function as a holistic unit.

Reiki

Reiki is a gentle, effective energy healing method, which treats the whole animal, not just the symptoms of a disease.

Acupressure

Traditional Chinese method in which illness is treated by applying manual pressure to the body at specific points.

Consultation: What happens?

A full history is taken followed by a physical examination. This will involve observation of standing posture and symmetry, and watching the horse move at a walk and trot. Can also be observed ridden or on the lunge. Movement abnormalities are noted as well as the range of movement of neck, back, fore and hind limbs.  A palpatory examination will reveal areas of tension, tenderness and lack of mobility.

Following the assessment process treatment will commence.Treatment may involve any number of techniques and modalities – such as soft tissue mobilisation, joint mobilisation, stretching, reflex inhibition, energy work, and acupressure. The therapist will then make recommendations on after care and follow up to the owner or trainer.
The owner plays an integral part of the rehabilitation.

Consultations are a set fee of $150.00 per animal per session. A 10% discount is offered if 3 more more horses are treated.

This includes assessment of animal before and after treatment.

Multiple treatments may be required, depending on the level of discomfort or imbalance of each individual animal.

For best results it is recommended that each animal has 2-3 treatment sessions. Some may require ongoing treatment sessions.
